hi guys! I caught the $10.70 autistic behavior hit. does anyone know if you have to be autistic to do it? the instructions make it seem like it's for autistic people but they might be looking for both autistic and not autistic people?

 

So, I know people are half joking and half serious but...

Y'all should see what they used to do in social science research. What we see here is nothing (and I'm not discussing fair pay, approvals, rejections, etc. Just survey design and content as related to ethics specific to social sciences, which if you're not familiar with past research (google, Stanford Prison Experiment for an example) it doesn't make much sense). (And if you've seen Veronica Mars, you've seen this experiment recreated on that show!)

 

I can't really think of anything super unethical I've seen from a university study on mturk aside from I suppose pay sucking or whatever, or just not being paid.

I think the worst I can think of is things like an obvious gif of a rotating loading screen and it says the computer is comparing you to others and then - "omg lol you're dumber than 80% of people who answered the same questions as you, please write about how this makes you feel powerless and small."

and then at the end it's all like "hehe jk" but i don't think anyone actually believed it anyways
