FWIW, this is what I typed up "on behalf of"Jerry who is the actual DB member. It worked beautifully. They even left the damaged dresser and scratched bedding pieces.

Dear _________,


On _______, 2016 I purchased the ________________ from Direct Buy in the amount of $_________. I patiently waited ____ months for it to be manufactured, delivered, and set up in my home. Two very pleasant gentlemen delivered and assembled the furniture while my significant other, Zoe, oversaw the process.

During and after assembly, Zoe mentioned to the two men assembling the furniture a few things that caught her eye: two dresser drawers that would not close properly or completely, what looked like a damaged corner on the dresser, and an uneven night stand (that was leveled before the gentlemen left my home). After clearing the room of debris, Zoe was asked to examine the furniture for anything damaged, scratched, out of place, missing, or otherwise unsatisfactory. She again mentioned the aforementioned issues to the gentlemen and was advised that if there were any problems with the product(s), they would be removed from the home, sent back to the manufacturer, repaired or replaced, and would be sent back with a comparable wait time as the first shipment or, she could take it up with the manufacturer and a technician would be sent out to address the problems. She was also advised that the gentlemen could not do anything about any of the damages other than make note for “someone else” to come and address the problem. Zoe asked if it was even worth making note with them or would contacting Direct Buy or the manufacturer be a better avenue to address issues with the furniture – the latter was advised.

At present, we have submitted a complaint about the issues and have yet to receive a viable solution much less the beginnings of something leading to a viable solution in, what I feel, is an acceptable amount of time. $_____ may not be a price that takes top rank when it comes to quality furniture however, at $______ for new furniture, I certainly expect to have furniture that does not require strategic bedding placement to hide imperfections that exist through absolutely no fault of my own.

I will add that being I am a paying Direct Buy member, I expected that, at the very least, experiences with customer service regarding matters such as this would be much more effective and efficient than it has been in my experience so far. ______ has been pleasant to communicate with but she too has had a challenging time getting any sort of worthwhile cooperation from relevant others on her side of the matter. That being said, I am equally disappointed in the service that I am currently receiving as the product that I received.

To resolve this problem, I would appreciate your cooperation in making arrangements to return the bed and dresser for a full refund.
