Definitely. Though I do miss cruising at 60 on the back roads, driving my 92' Ford Taurus wagon from the passenger seat.

I'm sure that at the junior high level they'll be teaching her the notes on the staff and all that. She may feel overwhelmed right now, but I guarantee that if it's not due til the end of the year - she'll figure it out along the way.

Finale is basically just clicking the notes on the staff, dragging where you want them to go, and then changing from quarter notes, eighth notes,eetc. She may not know what any of this means now - but at the junior high level - I'm sure it'll be taught

 

It had perks like working by myself.....but that didn't make up for all of the bullshit.

A lot of the time, it seems more intimidating than it is! I was struggling with something in theory once and Matt of all people just ripped it out of my hands and started making sense of it, cause he's good at ratios and was reading over my shoulder haha. It's more terrifying when you're new to it, but eventually just starts to make sense, especially after you play around

 

They have been teaching it to her since Kindergarten. Ella can look at notes and tell me what they are, but there is a disconnect in placing them in an order that makes sense. She plays Ukelele, but from sound, and she can play the keyboard from sound. But beyond that she can't place the naming it with the sound of it I guess. I know nothing about music.

 

I'm watching he-man..I dunno why.

i never used it for drums, but now i'm imagining mario paint on snes, where you could put different icons to make music. i spent hours on that shit

Composition was my least favorite thing in the world because, typical to many vocalists, I was trash at written theory compared to the instrumentalists. Sight reading and being able to write down music as I heard it in aural class was my jam, tho. I did jazz combo and filled in a lot at the last minute for missing singers, so my skills were more in the reading/picking things up fast lane and less in the writing music lane hah. I'm awful at math and stuff like that so it was my personal struggle bus.

Still eye twitch to this day even thinking about my last final exam, where I had to write something on the spot.

 

Maybe not the place to ask but is there a way to set panda crazy to grab all hits from a requester while EXCLUDING certain hits? I set it to grab Mturk Prod transcriptions but it sometimes picks up the "image" hit. Then it changes my search to only that. Quite annoying.

 

I could pick out melodies and intervals decently well, but when it came to 3/4 part harmonies, I was pretty lost.
