A couple years ago, some asshat(s) dropped 300-ish guinea pigs off in a field in the neighboring township. It was funny if you only read about it, but my husband and I, and like 50 others, spent hours catching them all. It's still kind of an entertaining memory, but also sad that people suck.

 

very true. A few years ago I garbage picked a new in box palm pilot. Didn't really think it was worth anything, but I put it on amazon for, I don't remember exactly, but was 3 digits, sold after a month or so.

Didn't think anyone would actually want it, but there's a good chance that the person had been looking for one for a collection or something for a while, and there just wasn't any available.

If someone wants to pay 20 bucks for something - that's what it's worth. If they want to pay 300, welp that's also what it's worth.

Health Insurance Answers! I have them. Finally.

I suspect some people on this forum have dealt with Cobra before, or may have to deal with them in 2020 - but after three days and a zillion calls I have a health care related definitive answer. If it saves even one person from these terrible days of hold music I am glad.

If you are on Cobra and it will expire in 2020 - at any time, any month, you WILL start from scratch on your deductible when you qualify out of it.

So back on hold I go to find new insurance.

oh crap
get a throw away google number or something to give any companies you contact for a quote (same with email). I did not do this and the next day had 72 phone calls and 6 texts from people wanting to sell me ins in 2 hours. 20 minutes after that I had a new phone number
