    Actually now that we're on the subject of keyboards.... I'm still holding out hope of fixing my old one. The spacebar stopped working so I got the soldering iron out and swapped the key with one I don't use so much. It worked for like half a day then the spacebar stopped working again. Is it possible to replace the chip for the key, not the key itself, on the board? To be specific I know it's possible, but is it practical? Is it something I can readily buy? I looked around a bit, but most of what I found was about swapping the key itself.

    I haven't gotten around to taking it apart again and investigating if this is the problem, but I suspect it is.

    Dang, it's probably possible if you get a good look at the circuit board. Might be worth trying to fix and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work and you get a new one. If the PCB isn't ridiculously tight and small it should be able to be soldered??

    couldn't tell you. i keep using a Razer from the Dark Ages since that is what my hand is used to.
