    Okay, we got an extra kid for Christmas!

    So...we (me, wife, teenage daughter) were out doing some last minute shopping yesterday, when my daughter told us her friend was texting her about a home situation and she had told her she should come over. The friend arrived this afternoon and is staying with us for Christmas. Her mother is working, her father is well on his way into a drunken stupor which most likely will last until 2020, and her older brother doesn't care about anything. Just really sad and depressing, not a great environment for a 15 year old girl, and my wife and I are very happy that our daughter told her to get over here.
