It's a Kindle download for your PC. I'm fairly sure you can use audible on it as well as the written book.

 

Many times I use my local library to download the digital or audiobook. It's a three week loan (which can be renewed if there aren't any holds on it). It 100% free and legal.

I have the Kindle for PC to read books there occasionally. I got it when my wi-fi went out on my modem--again-- and I couldn't figure out how to load books on my Kindle e-reader thru my PC. I keep thinking that there must be a way to load books thru the desktop, but can't seem to find it. Does anyone of you smarties know a way to load books on an e-reader using a PC? I typically charge my reader with a USB plug on my PC anyway.
