    I have a love-hate relationship with spiders. We got some rather large spiders here that take over our yard in the spring/summer...they handle all the other tasty mcbuggets, but then I run into a web and flail around while the neighbors laugh.

    We had one take up residence on our front door and we just left her to her thing! We have found the egg sack and are monitoring it for when it hatches. We get SO MANY BANANA SPIDERS! I love them so much. We do everything in our power to not hurt them. To the point of my husband stopped mowing and took a stick to shew them away so they don't get blended into a banana spider smoothie.

    We get some big-ish (nothing like this nightmare shit though), I've always called them writing spiders but idk if that's the real name and I'm sure as hell not gonna google it. They are my least-hated spider because they're easy to see/avoid, but they seem to make no difference in general bug population. We're covered in spiders and still covered in all other kinds of bugs and I hate it so much

    They take up residence all over our place...they are interesting. One always makes this huge web over our driveway and you can walk out at any time of the day and see like 50 bugs on the web.

    My wife and I take extra care not to mess up the web. Last spring I had to take a stick and move the driveway web up like 2 feet so we wouldn't damage it. I figured she would just rebuild it in the same place but I think she caught on and just built up instead of down.

    You are nice people.

    I wish I could feel that way.

    But the primal fear that courses out of my amygdala and floods the frontal cortex when I see a spider overrides all higher thinking and I kill it as fast as possible after I run away screaming in terror and take a moment to regain my senses.
