    Raising the minimum wage won't cut it. It would require massive changes in the government. The reason why it works for Australia is because of things like universal healthcare, high income taxes, high min wage, etc (not sure if education is free, not sure about corporate taxes, etc).
    Then it becomes more of a personal thing whether you want a country with those or not.
