Yeah, I'm putting aside money to have it done eventually. Conacts are scratchy AF and my astigmatism makes me uuber blind. I can't even read the damn chart, my doctor just helplessly holds hands up and asks how many fingers....I'm struggling to see even that sans glasses. I'm tired of being Lady Magoo and spending annoying amounts on contacts.

it just seems strange that a piece of sand can scratch your cornea but scraping it with a metal hook repairs it

Good idea! thanks .. It has been a lot of trail and error to get something that works for our experimentation platform and the workers! Dude, Matt got all those metal shards in his eye recently and the weird buffing tool they used to scrub his eyeballs and help remove them was crazy town looking. FWIW, with cataract surgey they actually scrape out and remove the fucked up parts of your lense and they replace them with new working artifical ones. It's pretty cool, helped my Nana out a lot.

 

Contacts don't bug me too much, but I don't change them nearly as much as I should. And I hate glasses. They give me headaches. I never look all cute and nerdy like I hope. And I can't function without sunglasses while driving.

I'm just all over whiny when it comes to anything eyeballs.
