I've lived in the burbs on the bay, in a couple small cities , in a town of 346, in an unincorporated desert town, literally up a mountain, on a cow farm that was shockingly only 15 minutes from a Target, etc.

I just adjust, life is full of compromises and whatever I wanted to make Matt's life easier by living close to his job, even tho it meant my life being more of a pita, cause now he only drives 8 miles round trip to work instead of 60. I already lined up a place to crash when I have to go to school for the day so I don't have to drive all the way home

Honestly, I could stand to find a place outside of a little town that has like a grocery and a general merch store with like maybe one or two greasy spoon type places and not much else. So long as it had fiber internet. Somewhere in flyover america with like six or 10 acres to homestead off of.

I only used grocery delivery once and all my vegetables were garbage, a couple even being inedible. I guess I can be kinda particular about veggies but I never bothered to risk it again. Sounds like stores are better about it now

 

I get a box of veggies delivered bi-weekly. they're pretty good quality. They're often seconds that are either pulled for being 'misshappen' or overstock.

 

The hibernation is over for the day.

I took melatonin way to late in the night thinking that would help. It didn't help me sleep during the night but the moment the sun showed up I was 100% dead asleep and couldn't be woken up.

 

We actually have good internet and part of the town (closer to where Matt works) has fiber cause Virgin Galatic and Strato and blah blah are all out there, and the aero nerds require fast internets.

of all the places I've lived, this one doesn't bother me most of the time tbh. It helps that my friends are around and it's like a 25 minute straight shot down the freeway to get to a decent sized town with a lot of stuff. The main road that turns into the freeway after a few miles is like a mile down the road from my house, so it's pretty dead easy without feeling like I'm next to a big road. It's just desert as hell here When I lived up the mountain, it was a similar drive, but way worse cause you had to drive up and down a mountain pass and so it was a huge pain.
