It's almost like we should act for the good of our entire society in cases like this, instead of only thinking of ourselves.

 

Why?

 

I miss publix. WHERE IS MY CHICKEN FINGER SUBBBBBBB!

 

because humans are social creatures and the entire basis of our lifestyles are also deeply intertwined with having a functional society? That and also maybe it's the good thing to do?

 

And the family with enough toilet paper to supply a small village went beyond a normal freakout. It's a dad, a mom, and two kids who can't be over ten. With more toilet paper than I've ever seen in one place in my life. Smh.

 

If only one big lesson is learned from this whole thing; I really hope people wash their disgusting grimy hands.

A few years ago I had cancer and then developed a lung disease. My health went from great to poor in a year. This is the first time I'm facing the possibility that I could get seriously ill because I'm in a high risk group. I was fine until this weekend and now I'm freaking out a little bit. I also work with special need students and there seems to be at least one sick student in the group at all times. Most people I'm in contact with everyday are making lots of jokes about the virus and I'm not saying much anymore because it seems all too real to me right now.

as long as we do simple shit (wash your gdamn hands, COMMON SENSE), i think the majority of this outbreak will be just fine

I was washing my hands before lunch and didn't realize I was humming to myself (so I'd wash them for the right amount of time haha) and this lady snapped at me, made a comment about coronavirus making people "crazy," and then walked out of the bathroom without washing her damn hands and was sitting a couple tables over and I just could not.

And unfortunately we live in a country where missing work for a cold isn't acceptable fuck at a lot of places missing work with the flu or a severed limb isn't acceptable and either way you don't get paid so here we sit in this predicament....
