Well I did finally fix my sleep cycle.

Late to the party but @Randomacts tagged me. The one true solution is simple really. 1) meet a guy/girl in college who seems like a total ass B) Realize said guy/girl is handy and file that away 3) Turn that guy/girl down cause, hello, jerks aren't fun for dating 4) Years later accept a coffee invite after college, perhaps you have both become more compatible now 5) Fall in love, get engaged, move into a house where you have an entire room for your office 6) buy a widescreen monitor and realize your setup doesn't have enough room for 2 laptops and a monitor 7) Make a pinterest board of rustic desks DIYs and repeatedly show your partner how easy it would be 8) Sigh unhappily about how expensive similar desks are on etsy, how annoyed you are with your third monitor on an end table, and repeat how flustered you are without enough office space.

The key is to repeat steps 7 & 8 ad nauseum - until your partner finally gives in, and goes to the oldest barn on your farm property, rips the best looking door off the frame, and carries it back. Then you pout until they make it into a fabulous L-shaped desk to the exact measurements you pretend you hadn't already drawn up. Then you make sure to leave a few passive aggressive sounding notes with their lunch reminding them to please work on your desk, because your neck hurts from your current setup and you feel sad now...if only you had a larger desk! It will take a few weeks, but eventually your partner will come home with a desk top, legs to be made at a future time when he or she is not so busy.

Bing bang boom my friend, that's how you get a super sweet new L shaped desk because you decided you wanted a widescreen monitor before you really had anywhere to put it.

I feel like you are likely more expensive then an ikea desk but I haven't done the monster math yet.
