yeah my knee is to quote my doctor destroyed and my ankle is fused also so balance and long distance walking aren't happening inclines of any kind are pure torture

Hopefully your ankle is fused flat? My mom's was at a 30 degree angle and required special shoes with a flare out so she could roll her leg when she walked. At the time they had to fuse it (1996) it was the best they could do. The had to take bone from her hip to do it, so she was actually 1.5 inches shorter on that leg too. Honestly, amputation was the best thing that could have happened to her, so gained so much more mobility. While we never made it to a golf course, we did go to sports authority and she was able to actually swing a golf club again post amputation. The fake leg had an ankle joint that could slightly flex, it was a huge improvement. She loved golf and had to give it up when she broke her ankle and it didn't heal.

 

There's a moment when you realize you've ended up in that part of youtube, and need to back away slowly.

So just learned Mary J Blige is headlining Wawa's Welcome America concert (gigantic July 4th celebration). But more importantly, Boyz II Men will be making an "appearance" to be honored for their "impressive career". I'm worried if they don't perform Motown Philly, there will be riots...

 

yeah I can put my foot flat on the ground but have less than 1 degree of lateral motion so balancing or standing on uneven ground is difficult. I do have several degrees of dorsal flexion (think moving wrist up and down but on foot) which surgeon said was the most important for walking so I can walk with the crutches but with all my weight on the ankle I loose that motion, kinda turn my foot when I walk to compensate have a wicked limp with out crutches to take some of the weight of my leg and can only manage a few steps like that but hey what use would I have for a wheelchair I can stand.....idiots
