The really annoying thing is that I know the basics of french braiding...I just can't seem to make my fingers work backwards....It's like they won't listen to me

 

Will your husband do it?

I'm also horrible with girly hair stuff. My daughter's hair has another year maybe 2, before i have to worry about her. I just use a curling iron for myself when I want to be girly.

 

Have your husband learn! Engineers are useful for stuff like this. Then you can sit back while he does your hair!

put a mirror on the wall behind you and one in front. then look at the one that is behind you so you trick your brain to thinking you are doing it the right way.

 

omg you're a genius!....now I just need to find a second mirror....I suppose I could drag my dresser into the bathroom but I'm not sure hubby would be OK with that lol

 

lol that's all I usually wear, I wanted to switch it up. I'm way too sweaty and hot to wear it down (which hubby loves), so I was trying to french as a compromise.

But, you can even use your cell phone in front of you and the mirror in back and pay attention to the reflection in the cellphone...

no, besides the problem of not having a second mirror it's a really good idea....The phone idea is even better! I have a pixel so it has a stupid wide lense angle so I think that will work well.
