The bot's job is technically "essential," since they are defense contractors and blah blah, but they've had them working from home voluntarily...until they decided they might just bring them back in solely because they can. They've been getting things done on schedule from home and they don't need to, but they can...some of his co-workers have had absolutely fantastic melt-down level responses to that little announcement

This is a company that legit has a policy about how much alcohol you can keep at your desk and when it's acceptable to drink it. Not, "don't keep booze at your desk," but , "listen, you can only have like 1 bottle of liquor and it better be a small one, k guys? Let's keep it real profesh when you get blotto at lunch, be classy."

They made them all watch the sizzle reel from first flight last year and the vp was, I shit you not, streaming the sound thru his phone to the entire meeting while the video played slightly out of sync in webx, with no sound. I'm thinking it's mostly like, "Week 4, still can't use webx, fuck work from home, back to the office!"

Holy balls, I had a laptop on that updated it a few months ago.

 

It is SO. BAD. And soooo slooooooow.

 

After I did the update and cleared out some files it ran much better, so I guess 10 isn't all that bad.

 

I have 10 on mine, but I just never updated RJ's. Apparently...like...ever.

 

Meanwhile the Stampede in Topeka is still going ahead as scheduled so far.
