I didn't know there was a kid messenger but I've heard of messenger lite. You may could try that if gchat doesn't pan out. As for my account, it's private but occasionally I comment on some news story or video or something so desperados and bots can reply to you there. It's pretty much a free for all as long as they don't harass you or post sexually explicit content. I just don't remember there being so many of them a few months ago. I'm sure the pandemic caused the trashy guys to come out as they're probably unemployed right now but the bots, I don't know.
