Everyone trying to get rich farming turnips these days...

 

The stupid raccoons keep adjusting the prices to not help me.....

 

I watched a video of some guy basically using forums and "cheating" to make about 5 billion bells in 4 hours.

 

I mean, theoretically you can just set your game's time to Sunday and use that one stalk market site to trade turnips until you have tons of bells, but having that many bells doesn't really mean jack in Animal Crossing, anyway.

 

That's pretty much what he was doing.

The people I've seen do it basically say it's nice not to have to worry about collecting shit for money or having to plant a ton of fruit trees when they'd rather have other decor.

 

Turnups suck. Heritage Tomatoes or GTFO.

Yeah, but just patiently doing it every Sunday the normal way eventually has the same effect. It's hard to say they're playing the game wrong when NL had an actual in-game time travel feature, though. I did grind up like 700k bells normally, but I only had to do that once, otherwise it's just waiting for the stalk market to stop fucking me every week.

 

I don't do it because if I were to do that, I feel like I'm taking away from what the game is supposed to be, something to play for a long time.

 

I don't do it because all my turnips would rot. Some people get way too upset about how other people enjoy the game, though.

It feels like cheating in Animal Crossing is taking away from the whole point of the game, to take a step back and relax. Same with Stardew Valley

How you enjoy the game may not be how someone else enjoys it, though. If you're getting upset and accusing others of "cheating" because they time travel/play differently than you do, I think that detracts from the actual point of the game even more.
