The best setting is the only that minimizes PREs while maximizing requests to grab/submit HITs you want. They're different for everyone and vary across whatever your personal setup is. Play w/ whatever tools you use with that aim in mind and you'll find what works on your PC.

My HF doesn't find anything at all when it runs on worker :/

 

That bug is fairly rare as far as I am aware so I wouldn't bother with that. Although @Kadauchi has had lots of issues with it
