Longest thing I've owned is my dining room table. My parents bought it before I was born. Sanded it down and repainted it once and that was it.

 

After years of scratching out a living on Mturk I was barely keeping it together when things were normal. Now with no baseball and hockey I'm starting to get a little loopy.

 

Wow really?

We finally bought new couches for our living room after having our sectional for 10 years, most people were stunned we kept it that long...but it's at the end, it survived our youngest kid being 6 through now being almost 17. There's a broken board in the frame etc, it'll go to the basement now as it has use left but more sparingly used.

 

The bot found an injured bird yesterday, made friends with it, took it home, and then gave me sad bot eyes until I made him a little box nest and patched him up. I was worried the little dude wouldn't make it thru the night (and would have to explain the circle of life to the bot yet again), but I made him a little home in the garage overnight so he wouldn't get murked by a predator...and then got up early to feed him and hydrate him because he was so weak he wouldn't eat on his own. Birb is now flying again and seems to be much better. Fingers crossed he lives a nice little birb life and makes birb babies because after all this effort, I expect the little sucker to go forth and live a worthy life, hmmph.

How do I end up having to mother a bird he rescues?! This is the third time.
