It has to do with the content. Almost every single "females only" HIT I grab is about a purse or shopping in general, and I just get annoyed after a while. Because (1) not all girls give a shit, and (2) males and others may also be at least as interested/helpful.

the way I see it is they're just trying to get information on a certain demographic. I totally understand where you're coming from, and usually I would be more inclined to side with you don't get me wrong, but I don't think this is necessarily sexist.
