If you are stationary and have objects flying at you, it can be much dizzier on a screen than in VR (since most of your field of view is covered, you have no "fixed" points of reference (like your wall behind the monitor) so it doesn't cause motion sickness as much). However, games where you move around with the joystick really induce motion sickness since your entire field of vision moves around while your body is stationary (and you have no fixed reference point like you would in a car with the dashboard or whatever). (All of this is assuming you have a headset that can push at least like 80 Hz/fps; the higher the better like the valve index at 120fps)
