It is a true shit show. While we all complain when they make updates to the requester side of things and not the worker, the best way for us to get more money is for mturk to make the requester side as intuitive as possible.

the rhinoceros one is my favorite.

 

I have better luck getting quals by sending a DM to requesters. YMMV though, I can back my request up with a 99.9% acceptance rate with around 50k HITs submitted (another reason to avoid surveys, which in my experience reject much more often).

 

I thought that surveys are where you can make the most.

 

Audios are terrible, cannot understand a single thing.

Cannot reiterate this enough. Seriously guys, like over half of requesters core features are hidden behind the windows command prompt (or API, which I have no idea how to use, maybe its better).

Imagine if none of the scripts you guys use every day (OW, HF, etc) just straight up didn't exist. But even worse, because you still can't complete HITs through the website itself lol. I fully admit to not being Bill Gates level of intelligence, but I like to think I'm not a complete moron and @jessers can confirm just how frustrating my experience with the requester side of things has been. I curse.. a lot. LOL.

What do you all recommend looking out for?

 

I still have quite a few troubles with the requester CLI cause its just a piece of shit with bad documentation.
