    It would be in really poor taste to release it right now. It's like every NYC movie that came out after 9-11 that removed images of the towers.

    Because some people are stupid, because some people genuinely don't understand, and because there are multiple reasons that in person class is better for students. I think it's a terrible idea, but it's not a 100% black and white answer.

    my fave book of all time, and yes, i wish that the movie had been redone way earlier than it was.
    oddly enough when they were first starting to talk about COVID i kept saying "nah, ill call it Captain Tripps and see who gets it"
    i didnt know i had that many SK fans until that post, lol

    I really enjoyed the first movie for what it was. I mean you aren't going to get super amazing mini series in the 90s. Just like IT it was somewhat cheesy yet very memorable.

    oh i know that, i just woulda rather had a movie vs mini series.
    but then that brings up the few *BAD* movies off books of his
    its like you just cant really win, you get a good mini series from a book they have to SERIOUSLY tone down (IT, The Stand, The Langoliers, etc), or a movie that butchers the book entirely (The Gunslinger anyone?)

    "hey guys, lets cram NINE full books worth of a great story series into a 1hr30min-ish movie. and oh the bad guys, lets make them like...aliens or something. and you know the main bad guy? lets neuter him and cast him as a drunk southern actor with bad bo. it'll be a summer blockbuster!"
