I actually did consider one of those but apparently they are completely useless in high humidity areas.

Fans. Lots and lots of fans. And we have been fairly lucky with the heat here this year. We had a some weeks in the 90's and upper 80's but also many in the mid 70's so it has been ok.

But fans....fans are my main friends.

 

I'm ready for some winter.

Try a portable dehumidifier? These are never outstanding, but it's significantly cheaper than installing a whole house unit.

 

Also ridiculously expensive to run. Trust me, I have weighed my options and sweating a lot won...barely but for now it will have to do.
