Speaking of that.

So back in the day, I used to do Zings to pad for stats on the weekends. On saturday I got dustin to give me his qualification, and he said he was gonna post on Monday. Sunday rolls around, so I cap on Zings pretty early, I'd say a little after noonish. Dinner time rolls around and guess who fucking posts? That's right.... Dustin. So I'm sitting there watching this batch disappear, hoping it would last until day change. O course it doesn't, and the person who told me to ask Dustin for the qual made like $200 in the few hours it was up. That was when I instituted my minimum 3c rule unless I'm trying to cap out for the night.

Also, Sergey last year, the first time they posted, shit was fire. His api key broke for everyone because you only get so many queries on a free key, so everyone stopped doing them. Not I, I made my own key and userscripted it in and had the batch to myself for hours, made a bunch of money off of that. They repost later and get demolished. Next day rolls around, I think to myself, no way he posts again, so I cap early in the morning on a 3c batch. Noope, this Grinch Sergey posts again, and I was capped before 6am. So all 2 or 3 batches he posts I can do, and all over the forum, even those who normally make like $5/day are posting $100+, shit stung so bad.

Moral of the story, mturk will fuck you one way or another.

I remember those three days. Wasn't there a lot of controversy wherein some folks took advantage of some limp HITS? That was a good week though.

 

Yeah, the controversy was the HITs could be complete, but not correctly because the API call failed, so the video couldn't be displayed, so you couldn't answer correctly or something like that.

That week was my best week, make just over 3k. Too bad not every week is like that =/

There was another time when a requester posted, somewhere deep in the night, a slew of hits that were supposed to pay out .02 each, but some drunken intern posted them for .20 each. It was a nail nibble waiting for those to approve.
