I suggest a dedicated vertical monitor for HF.

 

Nah, I have HF quartered on a horizontal monitor.

 

Anything works, right? Probably just going to get something cheap, so I can look up at it. This is going to take some getting used to.

2nd and even a 3rd monitor is necessary. Even for non turk people. I get irritated when I can only use 1 screen now.

 

I've been using one monitor my entire life, never bothered to try 2.

 

I find vertical space a lot more useful.. and because it is just for HF you could pick up a cheapo monitor..

Vertical monitors also take up less desk space.

 

Actually, I'm totally in favor of a future that disincludes all other humans. Maybe that's just me. I'd be walking down the street, bopping my head while I listened to a few good tunes, and then all the cars would crash into each other, and like a Stephen King novel, I'd be safe, and just a witness, and finally I'd be a survivor. Me I mean, a survivor.

Would it be unreasonable to run two instances of HF, one for stuff above say, 5 cents without sound, and one with stuff above 75 cents with sound on?

On second thought, is it possible to set a threshold that triggers the sound?

 

I've used multiple monitors since 1998.. it is slightly distressing to use a computer without more than one screen.

I agree with other poster... I think a portrait orientation screen is pretty crucial for lots of work these days.
