Since I've been doing mturk for more than 7 years now, I should've known better and just returned the hit.

 

if you've been around that long, you should have a decent padding no? i personally think it's worth the risk if it approves even 1 out of 5 times. it becomes 0 out of 5 if you return it. Especially since if it is an error, it's entirely their fault and they should compensate us for our time anyways.

 

7 year mturker you should know to submit it. Before I got experienced I would return hits I was unsure if they would reject, now I don't really care if I get rejected, I have so much padding it's fine. You did the hit, you should get the pay, the error is on their end, not yours.

 

I did 3 of them yesterday and all have been approved and paid, including bonuses.

if they intended to, they are also using the qual properly -- "not equal to" is just bungled a bunch by newer requesters because it's not intuitive.

You can make a qual:

name: Example Qual

Assign one group the value of 3, one group the value of 5, one group the value of 7.

I had this happen a while back. There was a $10 task that was like clicking faces 500 times or something stupid. I did it and then saw there were more up. They were asking for different things but after turning in the third one I read the instructions that said ' DO NOT DO MORE THEN ONE OF THESE EVEN IN OTHER BATCHES'. I was like oooooooooooh shit. I just kept my mouth shut and waited for the rejections. Never happened. All of the approved.

 

It depends if there is a upcoming new game I want. I will go pretty low lolol
