I think we're supposed to be doing quartly estimates/tax payments, but I haven't and nobody has yelled at me yet. I really need to spend some time in the next weeks and make sure I'm doing everything right so I don't get on the IRS shitlist.

 

That's very true. However, if SS is still around, you do get point credits for taxes paid on MTurk work.

 

No probably to it. Hubs 401k is ballin for this reason.

 

Having to pay employment taxes on top of income taxes is always a shock at first

 

It just avoids fees from under reporting. At our levels, the fees are nothing high, I think I had $20 in fees from not sending the money quarterly.

Hopefully they will simplify the taxing scheme since more people in the future will turn to online work like MTurk and other platforms to supplement their income.
