Weird question for anyone who might be tech savvy.

My friend's dad is in the hospital with covid. He isn't doing too well. They are trying to get into his iPhone. It doesn't have biometrics and I guess he isn't awake or lucid to tell them the passcode. She seems to think that there is some workable hack, but after Googling for the last hour, I don't think there is any viable way to get in. With Android, I can go to Lost My Phone and update my passcode there. Is there something similar to that for iPhones? Or does anyone maybe have some secret hack they want to share with me in a DM?
