A lot of them are really worth checking out if you love story like games. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are getting another game added into the series sometime soon. Dragon Age Inquisition is a bit more open world but still follows a story.

As a kid I used to play SH with my sister cause I was so scared of playing it alone so I get what you mean lol
