damn that's rough. thankfully diabetes research and treatment has come a long way and allow people to lead normal lives instead of a death sentence. Just a total inconvenience of controlling diet and managing blood sugar levels and telling your loved ones the signs to look for in emergency situations.

I imagine my eye situation was probably due to my erratic blood pressure and heart rate. It's currently out of control and I'm on multiple meds to keep it down. But you've given me a sort of motivation to ask more questions about my eye situation and see an eye doctor due to family history of diabetes and all that.

Just sucks so much having to go to a PCP first, who is basically useless since I have google, and they're just a human google who works with your insurance and directs you elsewhere. They are simply an individual who gives you a highschool hall pass to see a cardiologist or eye doctor. Then they assign sonographs and tests. Then you have to go back to a PCP and they send you to an endocrinologist after you get your hall-pass. Rinse and repeat Be nice to not deal with the bureaucracy of it all. Healthcare sucks.
