Gotta love some of these weirdly manipulative studies. One basically told me to disregard morality and avoid considering moral judgment, and then asked for my honest opinion about a moral judgment. Huh? Sometimes I'm not sure what a requester wants. Maybe sometimes I just need to read their instructions more carefully to understand what they're aiming for. And maybe sometimes a point of confusion is intentional as part of psychological research. But sometimes a task just isn't clear to me and I get confused by the ambiguity. And I hate ambiguity. Ambiguity is a plague, an evil that may well be the worst aspect of reality itself. I'm the goddamn king of ambiguity haters, yes I am, no doubt.

Aha! – So I might be a goddamn authoritarian. News to me lol

 

First year psychology, had a professor who gave a murder mystery as an assignment. We got together in groups to solve it, and shared ideas. Quizzed on who the group consensus of the guilty party was.

Never were told the ending, because it "could have been any of the four suspects", and each was given equal clues to justify them causing it, told it was to study "how groups changed opinion when confronted with new information". Frustrates the completionist in me to this day. I had nightmares about the ambiguity.

I want to know whodunit!

I can't believe I missed that vacuum tool HIT. That one looked like fun. It sucked going to work today. Normally I work Monday-Friday, but my coworker Ben asked me to cover his Saturday shift. So today, I had to work a 7-hour shift.
