FWIW, if anyone's still concerned, ChrisTurk is one of the very few people I'd trust with any sort of information because of 1. How much he respects privacy, and 2. How transparent he is about everything that matters. He's a good dude.

 

This was not terrible, one of the NYC Unis did something similar over the summer, but that was WAY longer.

 

We accidentally shared a lot of information with him anyway, work info, work e-mail info. We did not provide those information to MTC or MTG (which will be made great again in 6 months). I do not know him at all, polar one says, he is a good guy, but he does not know him either.

I just remembered the one place that you can get some info out of a mturk ID: http://www.amazon.com/gp/pdp/profile/workerID although it isn't that much info you could use this to see that we have some dragon dildos on our wishlists or something.

Not that anyone here would likely care, but I actually filed a formal complaint* against InfoScout for violating privacy [HIPAA]; randomly saw some posts with incredibly private medical information, viewable without being logged into Mturk; as in, just by googling. I thought it'd be fun, and also, I'd like to hurt Brelig, for hurting me. I want to hurt all the people who've hurt me. As long as it's low-effort.

*Not with Amazon, but like, an actual government agency, where I had to snail mail stuff and everything. Because I have nothing resembling life you human roaches

I love this. As a spin off, I was reviewing the ToS before posting this whole qual/HIT thing, and it specifically mentions workers may qualify to petition the IRS (et al) to be reclassified as an employee of the requester, and Amazon wants fuck all to do with that as far as helping either side.

I'd really, really like to see someone test this. I know a couple of ash hole requesters (@Jesicu & @jessers you know who I'm thinking of) I'd love to do that to after working for them for awhile and having them randomly drop my pay/etc.
