    oh this is so interesting. It explains a lot in terms of people getting phished or having their account high jacked. There are long lists of Mturk ID's floating around online and your default name on your amazon review account is the name you ship to. That instantly gives a face to a name in some cases.

    I think about this so much. The thing about being classified as an employee versus a contractor is that it's not really encoded into any law the way corporations make it seem. It's very very open to interpretation and I honestly think it'd be easy to do for anyone who you do lots of specific (they require you to do it a certain why, in a certain period of time and by a certain date) work for over a period of time.

    Anonymity's a thing of the past. It's a damn shame that we need to two-step verify accounts, have thumb print scanners on our devices, and use foil-lined wallets/purses to protect our credit/debit cards these days. With the proliferation of dirtbags growing at astronomical rate, I think it'll only get worse.

    Unfortunately there are no good requester forums (some blogs.. mostly just Grinching about how bad it is LOL) for me to peruse..

    If only someone was currently developing a system to store useful knowledge and make it easily searchable for the masses. Like an online encyclopedia of mTurk information. :ap:
