Addressing recent site issues affecting Prolific
During the last couple of weeks, there have been a number of instabilities affecting our platform, with last Friday (21st of October) being the most significant. Unfortunately, we have experienced a higher level of malicious activity, in the form of a DDoS attack, and some of it has caused unexpected outages.

We want to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. And we want to assure you that while we already have multiple security protocols in place, we have been investing intensively in enhancing them over the past few weeks to prevent this happening again. We are committed to continually implementing additional safety measures to maintain Prolific as a secure and stable platform for everyone. Not sure why anyone would want to attack Prolific and cause them problems, unless they're a failing competitor. I just hope they fix this because they are absolutely the best survey platform available and I'm excited to see how much they will grow.

I don't think Bezos gives a shit about MTurk anymore. If letting CloudResearch destroy the platform wasn't enough, the shitty AWS servers are killing what's left. This could be a huge opportunity for Prolific if they can move to better hosting.
