This CAPTCHA thing is ridiculous. I get it in QBC all the time when nothing is happening. It used to be it would pop up after doing so many hits, now it pops up all the time. What's triggering it?

 

I have done 2 entire hits. no errors. just thought I would add that.

 

I'm straight up nostalgic for big dumb batches you can work on all day for a nice hourly while enjoying tv or music in the background.

Page requests, or more likely the spacing of requests over time. It's separate logic from the queue CAPTCHA. I've heard it called the shopping cart CAPTCHA, so that's what I refer to it as. Anyways, happens a lot to me when MTS HIT Tracker syncs on it's own, or I do a 7 day sync on QBC. Sometimes its helpful to "reset" the "timer" between CAPTCHAs, so I will manually trigger one by syncing my HIT Tracker or doing a 7 day on QBC after sometime has passed.

 

Also, is there any way to disable that "Mturk Website Accessible" box that keeps popping up in QBC? Very annoying as it keeps coming back after closing it.

 

I noticed the syncing too, just missing the point of WHY? It's like a war on workers, batch workers be damned. Do Master's get these like the rest of us?

Good to know I'm not the only one with that problem. I've moved the box to the far side of my screen, over the edge actually, so it doesn't bother me anymore. I thought it was my modem or ISP, evidently AWS is as bad as I thought.

That's a good idea. Clicking the History button I see mturk just keeps bouncing back and forth from 200 to 503 errors which is triggering the box to always come up...

 

IDK. In June I also started driving Amazon Flex and they throw CAPTCHAs in on that app as well. It's to limit people tapping, but I also think after awhile the server just gets bombarded by bots and too many page requests probably bogs down the AWS servers that host them.

I honestly think that Mturk has like one dedicated employee and to justify their job, every so often they slowly throttle down the one AWS server rack that hosts Mturk to show their boss every year that they saved Amazon x dollars by limiting page requests. Probably not true, but would be funny if it was.

 

I made $3.20 so far

 

I'm a master and get no captchas but it's just so so slow to load today! Very annoying and not worth my time at this pace!
