Well now that's a question that made me feel old. Since before AOL and Prodigy were popular.

 

I have Lymphedema due to surgery and injuries sustained in a car accident in 1991 with complications of Lipedema. Because of this I have to use very specific types of "wraps" on my legs and my arms, along with specialized linings, padding. I don't normally go through as much of the linings, padding and guaze wraps that go on my legs first prior to the "low stretch" bandaging to hold everything together prior to putting on the "readywraps", but I lost my balance while transfering from my wheelchair to the toilet and managed to break open the skin on a few places on my legs in the process. Excess pressure can burst "bubble" like swellings on my legs and cause them to "leak" lymphatic fluids quite profusely. I ordered extras of everything I needed the same evening as my "fall" but ... oh well .... Looks like we will be making do with a LOT of disposable bedding underpads, etc. Ace bandages would be good, but it is near to impossible to find the width and length needed AND then there is the problem of getting them too tight. That is why "low-stretch" bandages are required. On an average month I go through anywhere from $200 to $400 or more of bandaging supplies for my legs, feet and arms that is not covered by insurance.

 

Shit's quite beastly and the experience! I really like it. Well worth $130 + $40 VESA stand.

Hmmm. I see what you mean. It may not be ideal but perhaps pantyhose could act as a makeshift bandage to hold the gauze dressing in place? I doubt it would provide the proper compression necessary but it would still hold a dressing in place. Aside from that I really don't have any other ideas. Those are about the only household items I can think of that might offer a temporary solution.

I also think you might be able to make a scene and get enough credit to buy them bandages and stuff through Amazon for a month. GOT TO MILK MISTAKES AND PITY PARTY SINCE IT HAPPENS IN THE HOLIDAYS. yes caps were intentional

 

Hide them around the house and leave clues that point to other clues and make a little scavenger hunt out of it.
