12/23 - Fancy Friday!

Our traditional Christmas eve is booze and underwear and fancy cheese as gifts but I may try that just to annoy him! He definitely doesn't know what beers they are though cause I special ordered 2 of them to the craft beer store and 2 are seasonal ones he's never had. Between that and the cigar/coffee gifts I always get him I feel so predictable this year!

 

If you really want to annoy him, set it all up, add a bunch of clues and have it lead to nothing. Or an empty box. Or a duct tape wrapped gift. (Can you tell I may or may not have done this a few times before? )

 

I have most of my bandaging stuff on "subscription" so to speak using my Amazon Prime, but this was an "extra" need that suddenly happened when I took the tumble, causing the need for "extra" supplies over and above what I normally purchase to get through the month. If you look up lipodema and lymphodemia you can see why the need for an abundance of supplies are needed just to cover each leg/arm. This is not related to "uncontrolled" eating habits, but IS related to a severely suppressed/damaged lymphatic system. When the lymphatic system is either damaged by surgery and/or congenital defect it gets very complicated as time goes on.

I was thinking about putting all the individually wrapped beers in the the 4 pack case and then wrapping that to an impossible standard. It's fantastic that you are such a present trickster! Giving me all sorts of evil ideas!

 

Finally figured out why my damn host file wasn't working:

Apparently 'mturk.com' and 'www.mturk.com' are different from each other, and when I ping them in Terminal, they return different IP addresses.

Trying to connect to 'www.mturk.com' with an 'mturk.com' IP address had me like this for a bit:

 

I haven't the faintest clue to what is to live with a chronic thing like that, but I've had a few surgeries given a different congenital condition that needed bandages and gauzes for a limited time. I amusingly remember yelling at my dad more than once 'THE THING IS SPITTING BLOOD AGAIN AND I NEED A CLEAN PAIR OF PANTS'

 

www. is a subdomain of the website. At the end of the day www is the same thing as maps in maps.google ect. so that would not point to where you would think it would =P

 

Turking to pay for those damn expensive sunglasses.
