well, not really just got back from the grocery and liquor stores. now I'm getting ready to focus on 'em while doing laundry.

has anyone else noticed that paypal tends to underpay on the exchange rate from prolific? it's usually or always been less than what google says is the exchange rate too. or have I just coincidentally transferred money from prolific to paypal during times when it's less money?

 

PayPal typically applies its own exchange rate, which includes a markup over the mid-market rate (the one you see on Google). This means that when you transfer money from Prolific (or any other platform that deals in a different currency), PayPal converts it at a slightly worse rate to cover its fees.

also, I got a superbowl sub sandwich that is as big as the grocery bag. it had to go in the grocery bag sideways. but I probably won't watch the superbowl, hoping to keep turking or maybe getting other things done.

edit: well I just found it in my returned hits on there. I did the whole survey and accidentally returned it instead of submitting it. so much for that 70 cents!

It's about the same as the exchange rate that the bank would give you. everytime I've come back from Canada and had to exchange Canadian money out they always took about a nickel on a dollar.
