Cats aren't naturally big drinkers, they get most of their water from the meat they eat. They're also little assholes who are naturally curious about everything.

 

Jelly? Nope, you'll pass me 5 times over before the day is over.

 

My cat will shove her face in my glass if I leave any water in it at all. Also fascinated with the faucets.

 

Also, they like running water. I got my cat a fountain, she drinks from it all the time. Before that, yeah.. no bowl would work.. Sinks and faucet all the time, even asked for it.

 

^^ also true.. They like to drink from where you are drinking... And if it's a martini.. oh boy...
My dog loves beer too.

 

My cats are exactly the same. They like to drink red colored water that is on my kids sandbox lid outside rather than the good clean water I offer them.

 

These humans, they keep trying to kill me.. I don't trust them. I'll salvage my own tarp-water.

 

My cat is my first cat I ever owned, and now I know they all mostly do it... but it's hilarious how when I open anything that's normally shut (pantry, cupboard, drawer, small thing I doubt she could fit into) she will shove herself into it, no matter how small.

 

Yup. The trick is finding the smallest most ridiculous thing, put some socks on it, grab a camera, enjoy the humiliation

My cat actually drinks a ton of water, just not out of his own dish. He particularly love running water. Maybe he figures it's fresher?

Yes! Mine will also tip it over if he can't reach the water with his face. And he will shove me out of the water stream to put his head under the faucet and drink obsessively.

That's because cats are vicious carnivores and they want to drink your blood.

 

My dog does this too. He's 65 pounds and tries to fit himself into the refrigerator. He also goes nuts whenever I get a package.

 

i think most domestic cats/cats that don't have a source of fresh meat seem to prefer running water? idk we had to buy a little water fountain for ours because she just wasn't drinking enough on her own out of a bowl and now she drinks tons haha

My cat is dead to me, no really he died 5 years ago. Still, can't find the strength to get a new one.

 

I prob should up my weekly.

But ego.
