Okay, so here's a question. How do you set up a hit catcher, if you're unable to search on mturk for the requester(i.e. your search did not match any hits)?

Like, when the yta were up the other day I was able to find the link here in the thread, but if I don't a-priori know what requester to look for, is there any way to set up a panda?

 

You find it with hit finder. Search pandas are bad and you should avoid using them. (that is why HC doesn't have that feature)

 

But suppose hit finder doesn't find it?

Like, when yta was available the other day it never showed up in hit finder, because the in the interval between hit finder searching the hit was already accepted by somebody else. If I hadn't looked here, I never would have even known that yta was a thing that exists.

Also, I'd say 99% of the his I see in the thread are already gone by the time I notice them. Am I then supposed to set up a catcher for that hit, or is it basically already too late?

Panda that sucker- people will let them expire/return and you might catch it.

 

depends on the HIT u likely won't catch a csat to save ur butt from the export, but might get some later if u set up the PANDA

 

You never really know. I set up pandas for the good stuff, but I delete them after a while unless it's worth the wait or has a long timer.
