    Yeah, you need more info. Do you care more for bass, mids, or treble more? Is it going to be used in a quiet or loud environment? Is noise leaking going to be an issue? Personal cans, especially at that range is such a detailed and personal choice.

    I've been through the motions before, so I may be able to help a bit. My music interest is very wide as well. I just don't know what kind of sound he's looking for. I think the best all arounders are the Sennheiser 600s or 650s though, depending on what you're looking for as they're slightly different. Though, you'd have to wait for a sale or something to get them at that price range.
