I'm totally, 100% ambivalent (colloquial usage, not dictionary). "Not my circus, not my monkeys."

My personal feeling is this: I believe that if you do something well in life, people will take notice. Yes in the real world it is totally possible to be screwed by circumstance/other people, folks can/will drag you down at all kinds of points in your life - but that shit is mostly out of your control. Learn as much as you can, work hard, produce results (whether that be at your job, hobby, gym, family - it all applies) and you'll be surrounded by good people / good things.

There could be 0 people on TH and I'd still continue developing things for the site because, IMO, if I create good structure/tools, folks will come use them. So the only way people linking other forums affects me is if I've abandoned my philosophy on life/TH or decided I don't want to work on TH anymore - in which case, God bless them for finding a new home that is more attractive than this place.

As far as straight up "would I do what he did?" - the answer is no because I would never put myself into the position he did (buying something I had 0 knowledge, understanding, or connection of/to).

Thanks for answering that. I was worried I would look like I'm trying to "start drama" as the kids says. But I just wanted to contextualize it with the added perspective of someone who actually runs a forum, since I never have. But after the way you spelled it out here, I think I'd likely approach it the way you do.

 

So I'm assuming since y'all are still talking about MTG that the money batches didn't come in while I was gone
