Right. I'm fat. One day I will lose the weight I gained when pregnant with my last two kids...maybe. (Honestly, it probably requires me to follow up with a dr since the midwife found a lump on my thyroid and my hormone levels were off...but that means seeing a dr. *shudder*)

I was half-joking, but I avoid these conversations for the opposite reason. I've never been more than 105 lbs in my life (I'm 5'6", and no, that isn't a good thing). I've found that no matter what I say in any sort of conversation about weight, someone always ends up either yelling at me, insulting me, or ignoring my opinion entirely. I've given up.

I switched all the junk food my SO likes with homemade/easily microwaveable versions and it's worked out great. His mom is actually impress that I'm keeping his cholesterol so low.

Every time you talk about Matt, I keep thinking you're talking about my SO (his name is Matt too and he would/does do the same things your Matt does).

I have no doubt in some areas that is true which is a shame, but there is a general consensus these days that eating healthy is super expensive and for most people it just isn't. Between Aldi's and sprouts and I never pay more than about .90/lb for fresh fruit and vegetables. Shoot our local Sprouts had whole pineapples on sale for .98 each this weekend. Lets just say we have well stocked freezer of pineapple now lol. I mean what's the difference between buying two pounds of bananas for 1.19 or a box of little debbie's for the same exact price? My sister is the worst, she shops at Wal-mart because that's what's closer and she won't even consider going to more than one store even if it saves her a ton. She easily spends over $300 every trip when she could spend half that buy going a couple of different places. I think for some people it's more about lack of education and willingness. They just assume Walmart is the cheapest so that's where they go. Walmart is fucking expensive lol.

Speaking of little debbie's this image always comes to mind when I hear that name lol.

It doesn't work the way you think it will. It was very strict for us as kids at mealtimes, and we didn't get any junk food. All I want to eat is the food I wasn't allowed to eat when growing up.

I'm a stress eater too. I wish I was one of those people who can't eat when they are stressed out. I'm the exact opposite. I cannot put enough food into my face when stressed.

Might be different in other areas, but there isn't much difference between Aldi and Walmart in prices where I live. Might save like $5 per shopping trip, but it's generally about the same price. Walmart is definitely the cheapest when compared to other grocery stores.:dunno:
