I have a belly because I'm fat, the gym is to far away, and it's way too much work to clean of the bow-flex and treadmill. Happily still sitting in front of my computer.

    Same!

Altho, since I found out my diagnosis with my back on Friday, I haven't really wanted what I usually do when I'm upset. I feel more like a lost puppy at the moment so I guess that's good. And I ate all my brussell sprouts at dinner last night cuz I'm a good girl, yay.

I was 115 ( at 5'7") up until I had my second child, I totally understand what you mean. I once had an obese friend complain to me about her weight as she was chowing down on a snickers, and then was angry at ME because I was also eating a snickers but underweight, as if it was MY problem she was obese lol.

Now I'm overweight so people aren't as mean :dunno:

What he eats at home is fine. I have serious GI issues and I'm all about a good nutritional balance so I don't fall over and die and it's rubbed off on Matt. But, when he goes out with other people for lunch or whatnot, everything gets janky. He comes home having had 3 pounds of fried food and too much beer that was given to him and wonders why his cholesterol is way higher than mine when we eat all the same foods at home. GEE, GOLLY! So confusing. He's otherwise in great health luckily, but I'd like to keep it that way! I'm actually happy he won't be working with those folks anymore, cause they were some seriously shitty influences.

Yay for Matts! Matts are the bomb diggity!

There's definitely a regional difference. Walmart is actually one of the most expensive options in my area, for instance.

EDIT: For some things, like perishables.

I shop at Meijer or Save a lot. But Aldi's is comparable in price, and Save a lot is actually more expensive. As it is, I drive 30 miles to get to a store. Which means that I shop once a week. I only buy enough fresh produce that will not go bad in that time. Some people live farther and shop less. People make due with what they have available. If they can walk to a Dollar General, and buy a can of raviolis and bag of chips to feed their kids, that is what they will do, because they can not always afford gas.

I think when you're underweight they think it's okay to vocalize their judgments. You just "need to eat more". But when you're overweight, they have to silently judge you because we all know fat people know they're fat.

(not judging, just saying, more of an observation, I've been on both ends too)

One thing to keep in mind that I find between Aldi's and Walmart is that even though some of the prices are nearly the same most of the time the quantity in the package is bigger at Aldi's. I wish everyone had a sprouts nearby it's is the best and cheapest produce and meat I have ever found.
