re: weight discussion, there was an interesting article in February's SA about this:

summary: there's no such thing as burning different calories; everyone burns the same to the fattest lard ass (hi!) to the most fit bushman.

exercise is good and you should do it (per article too) but it doesn't increase calorie burn (though resting muscle uses more).

so if everyone (human) burns the same calories then how do you lose weight? wait

It's a good article. I recommend for anyone that's into the whole science of things vs speculation and anecdote. It's got a healthy dose of irradiated primate pee to boot. something for everyone lol
