    I need to figure out what to get/do for my dad..

    We live 5 hours apart now so I can't do what I used to do - take him to eat and a movie (that's been our thing). I'm making him a charcoal drawing of him and his mom who just passed for Christmas (I'd do it now, but my schedule is too crazy to get it done in time). He's a very minimalist person and doesn't like owning a lot of physical stuff. Any good ideas for someone like that? :(

    Also a big IT nerd and really into motorcycles.

    I don't know how he feels about gift cards (I love them) but as an IT person, my relatives sometimes get me a NewEgg or Amazon gift card, since they don't know technical stuff that I'd want lol. Or like @HarryHood suggested, Arduino's are popular. I have a Raspberry Pi that I threw virtual consoles onto and bought one of those wireless NES controllers. It's fun :D
