I grew up on 50's and 60's oldies and still have a huge soft spot for them.

It wasn't until grade 6 (sorry, forgot to translate, 6th grade) that I heard Wonderwall for the first time, and decided there was definitely some modern music worth knowing.

My mom had a record player and loved 40's/50's/60's. I dig that shit too. :ba:

But 90's. Oh god, the 90's. Don't get me started on the 90's.

Ew, don't involve Top Gun with your misguided distaste for Styx. What's next, you hate Foreigner or Journey or Queen?

I loved my dad's record player too! Man, I used to jam out in my basement. I used to listen to all his cassettes too- ELO, Supertramp, The Police, Annie Lennox. Good times, good times!

That was the first CD I ever bought. Oasis - What's the story morning glory. The second one I bought was Dookie - Green Day. Fifth grade. (Grade 5 for the Moose Jockeys)

Well, I know how weird I am that the first ones I bought were Billy Joel's greatest hits (vol.2) and a Broadway's Leading Ladies cd.

That was the first "real" cd I got too.

Of course thanks to that Columbia House 10 cd's for a penny deal, I'm pretty sure my next 5 cd's were Weird Al.
