    Hey guys! Just wanted to do a quick thing and address some points while I have a chance before I crash for the night. First off, the big one:

    -As of this post, VacationrentalAPI has a qualification test HIT up:

    VRAPI has a notorious qualification that is highly sought-after by many Workers. We need to be really strict on any kind of discussion that gives tips on how to complete the HIT (accurate, or not). We really don't want to hand out reply bans, but Live Update is unforgiving and edits are rarely seen, so repeated violations may affect your ability to post for the remainder of a given daily thread. If you're not sure, check out the guidelines and PM a mod/ChrisTurk if necessary. Posts regarding topics like when the 2nd round will happen, how to know when you're approved/disqualified, etc are completely fine!

    -Secondly, we had some pretty heated posting going on here late last night. Believe me, in all cases it totally sucks to edit a member's post or restrict their ability to post. The only time it feels good is when I get to bludgeon a spammer with the spam slaughterin' tool. :emoji_smile_cat: It sucks to feel like we're silencing a person's voice, and it's even more difficult when I love all y'all's faces so much. Thankfully, it's a pretty rare occurrence and it's usually some survey/screener content that has to get snipped. So, keeping that in mind...

    Nothing that was said last night, outside of some HIT content, was outright against the guidelines. On a day that was filled with so much love, sharing and growth, it was surprising to see that hostility later on in the day. I ask all of you, not as a moderator, but as a fellow Turker that loves this wonderful place, to try to be more respectful of each other. I've seen a handful of bait posts in the past few weeks. I'm not even going to point out any specific examples, but I can say that no one really enjoys being singled out.

    -Finally, there's a plethora of built-in and ChrisTurk-approved™ features for customizing your experience on here. One of the most common questions I see here, that came up again last night, is how to hide gifs. To do this view your preferences:
    https://turkerhub.com/account/preferences
    and scroll to the bottom. Check off any of the Hide features that you want to try out and make sure to click Save Changes when you're done!

    Remember, we have a lot of stuff going on outside of the daily threads! I know, I'm as shocked as you are! :emoji_scream_cat:

    It says "It's OK to include special characters like '-', but not necessary." but I'm gonna be safe and just put the plain numbers.

    Well, I looked at that VRAPI qual again before returning it and I still genuinely don't understand it. I guess it's just as well I find the concept kind of scummy, because I can only see this sort of thing being pointlessly frustrating.

    There are so many aspects of Mturk that are scummy. It's disturbing to me that so many intelligent and talented people are competing for pennies, but there's a lot of support within this community as well.
